BUILT FOR RACING
Driving the 2002 AUIII XR8 Pursuit 250 Ford Falcon Ute is an exhilarating experience.
The Pursuit 250 was a hard act to follow - these cares are fully optioned from the factory - this is one of 250 made. With very low kilometres this collectable car is in excellent conditioned. Always garaged and extremely well maintained by enthusiastic owner.
A true one off with too many upgrades to possibly list them all.
Check out a brief overview of what goes into one of these motors:-
This car features factory extras of Leather interior, Hard Lid with rear wing, Azzurro 18" wheels and Pursuit 250 floor mats.
Engine modifications were numerous and included new lightweight pistons, billet conrods, 82mm progressive cam throttle body, ceramic-coated exhaust manifolds and unique Tickford-developed camshafts and valves. Most of these changes were generated by a new crankshaft which lifted capacity from 5-litres to 5.6. The HAND-BUILT engine which featured a girdle around the base of the block for extra strength had a specially balanced crankshaft and each part was carefully matched by size and weight. Power from the new engine was fed via a heavy duty Tremec TR3650 five-speed manual transmission and Valeo clutch and kept in check with a limited slip differential.
